Dylan feels like an old friend.
We’ve worked together before on a photo shoot, and when Spirit of the Moment began to take shape, I found myself drawn back to him again. He’s an avid outdoorsman—someone who moves through wild places with respect and understanding. He knows how to read the land, not as something to conquer, but as something to move with.
We met on the trail in the late afternoon, the kind of time when the day begins to soften. The sun slowly pulled itself down across the sky, stretching warm light through the landscape as we headed toward the waterfall. The pace was easy. Unforced. The trail decided how fast we moved.
As we walked, we talked about life. About who he is at his core. A man on a mission. Someone deeply grounded in the outdoors. Someone whose love for adventure runs deeper than most.
Dylan grew up in a rural farming community in central Pennsylvania, where being outside wasn’t an escape—it was simply part of life. Summers were spent in the woods, in creeks and streams that cut through the property. Movement came naturally. Over time, that movement found structure through track and cross country, eventually carrying into collegiate running.
